Honolulu – go! today reported preliminary traffic figures for March 2009 and noted it achieved 64,093 passenger enplanements, a 17.38% increase over the 54,604 passengers carried in March 2008. Last month go! generated 14.04 million available seat miles and 9.35 million revenue passenger miles versus 11.91 million available seat miles and 8.08 million revenue passenger miles in March 2008. go!’s load factor for March 2009 was 66.58% compared to 67.80% for the same period in 2008.

“We continue to be encouraged by the strong growth in passenger numbers year over year in spite of the present difficult economic climate and a decline in the number of visitors to Hawaii,” said Mesa Air Group Chairman and CEO Jonathan Ornstein. “We remain optimistic that 2009 will continue to offer new opportunities and thank our more than 2 million passengers, our people and partners, all who have contributed to our success,” Mr. Ornstein said.

In March go! concluded a code share agreement with Hawaii Island Air Inc. (dba Island Air) through which go! has begun marketing services flown by Island Air between Kahului, Maui and Hilo, the Big Island and Lihu'e, Kaua'i; Honolulu and Kapalua, Maui; Honolulu and Lana'i; Honolulu and Moloka'i; Kahului, and Kona, the Big Island and between Kahului and Moloka'i. Island Air’s service operates up to 54 daily flights with 37 passenger, twin engine, pressurized Dash8 aircraft.
